Fly Parfait

I spotted this fly sun-bathing in the centre of our Dianthus chinesis ('Raspberry Parfait'). I took a number of pictures, and I'll post more later. I think all the yellow dots on the fly's back must be pollen. I particularly love the rainbow reflections caught on the fly's wings (although not so visible in this photo), and if you look very closely, you can see the honeycomb that is the fly's eye. The red of the petals is very vivid and sets off the industrial grey of the fly well.
