Hoverfly on Yellow Flower< PreviousNext >
As my ring flash has been broken for a week or so now, I decided to go out and try some macro using my regular flash (Vivitar 283). I took a load of photos, but with the wind, the awkwardness of holding a flash out to the side, extension tubes and reversed lenses I didn't get many good photos. In fact, this is really the only one I'm prepared to show!! The hoverfly here was sitting on top of these small flowers that were on long stalks blowing around in the wind. The power of the main flash meant the yellow of the flowers was burnt out a little, but it's not too noticable after much fiddling in Bibble.
