Hawker < PreviousNext >
Yesterday I spent a lovely 20 minutes watching the wonderful aerobatic prowess of a dragonfly, as it rotated around our garden picking off flies. Today I was quietly hunting a grasshopper when I heard a familiar noise. I looked up and spotted this Hawker dragonfly resting on a branch. It was an incredibly patient dragonfly, about 8 inches long, and I managed to fire off about 40 photos of it before it flew away. I will post more of these in due course.
