What's this About?
I have been taking photographs for over 10 years now, starting out with a Praktica MTL-5, before moving onto my current platform of choice, with a Nikon FM2n. More recently I have bought myself a Nikon D70, and suddenly I have a raft of photos and no-where to put them. That was the whole idea on this page - to have somewhere to put my photos where people could see them, while at the same time minimising the effort required for me to put them up there.
I love pushing the technical boundaries of photography both at the macro level and at the telephoto level (although lenses are much more expensive at that end!).
Most of the photos on this site are taken using a Nikon D70. I have a number of lenses:
- Nikkor 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 (kit lens)
- Sigma 70-300mm f4.5-5.6
- Sigma 17-35 f2.8-3.5
- Sigma 10-20 f3.5-4.5
- Sigma 300mm f2.8
- Carl Zeiss 50mm f1.8 lens (using a reversing ring) (Find out more)
- Jessops Extension tubes
- Hama 2x Converter (yeh, cheap and nasty)
- Sigma EM-140 DG
- Nikon SB-800
- Lexar 2Gb CF, SanDisk 2Gb CF
I'm based in Dorset on the south coast of the UK.
